Personality Quirks

morning person | kickboxer | yoga addict | rainbow hair | mother | awful “home schooler”

I am a storyteller, copywriter and recruiter that works with businesses to help create their recruitment narrative, and become more effective at attracting talent in the global marketplace. I peak behind the curtain of mystery that shrouds the recruitment industry and arm clients with the language and tools of attraction needed to build fan bases and become employers of choice. I design a suite of solutions that will future proof their talent acquisition model; from retail to aviation, and digital design to finance!

Nuances

I have worked across many sectors as a recruiter and copywriter. My core skill is the ability to understand the client and their needs very quickly. I research every industry I work in thoroughly, and I don't use recruitment copywriting bingo words!

10 Hacks to Improve the Internal/External Recruiter Relationship

The complaints about agency recruiters litter the LinkedIn feed of many, however hiring starts with the client, so to be balanced, and fair, I start with the IN-HOUSE Recruiter.

As the conduit between the line manager and the agency, you play an invaluable role in ensuring that your talent brand message is received. As a recruiter for one of the UK’s most respected retailers I often found consultants came to briefings with outdated & preconceived ideas of our brand. It is your job, amongst other things to sell the vision, the future potential and the “why” someone would want to work for us.

What’s the Story? 5 Tips to Write Great Copy

Recruitment rocks! It is an amazing industry that gives you the opportunity to better understand how people work, it helps hone your communication skills and is constantly evolving, so that you are constantly learning.

My particular interest is in “Talent Attraction;” what attracts an applicant to apply, what makes them read on, what motivates them, what language do they speak and how do they want to be spoken to?

What’s the Story? 5 Tips to Write Great Copy

It is important to define what purpose is before trying to explain how to achieve it.

According to the dictionary, “Purpose is the reason for which something is done or created, or for which something exists. It is also describes a person’s sense of resolve or determination.” So in short you don’t need it, but having a purpose is good for your health and also helps the bottom line in business.

Elite managers understand the value of purpose and how to leverage it in their people, the ‘rock star” manager knows how harness it, draw it out and capitalise on it.
